Headcorn, 18th September, 2021

Saturday 18th September dawned warm and bright, and with the LAA's Kent Strut having a fly in at Headcorn, I decided a day out was in order. I arrived at the airfield at a record breaking early 0845!

I had plenty of time to munch my breakfast, as things were slow to get going. As you would expect, for the first hour and a half it was only the locally based aircraft entertaining me as the visitors flew to Headcorn. However, once they started to arrive, they did so in volume, and by 1100 it wasn't long before another visitor was calling up on the radio.

It is a long while since I have seen Headcorn so busy, and with the weather being so good, it was a very enjoyable day out. The only downer was that I only saw six new aircraft, but I suppose that is what comes of being such a frequent visitor to Headcorn!
