Mildenhall, 21 August, 2017

I have a real emotional attachment to Mildenhall, home of the first airshow I went to back in 1991 just after the first Gulf War, and an event when I saw many personal 'firsts'. Of course, the glory days of the base are now a mere memory, but I find myself regularly drawn back, and after Conington I spent some time in John's Field watching the Blackhawk do several circuits and one of the Ospreys depart.
